Meet your dentist

Dr. Kyle McShan

Dr. Kyle McShan has spent his life deeply connected to the Crossville community. After graduating from Cumberland County High School in 2000, he played collegiate baseball at Roane State Community College for two years before earning his undergraduate degree from ETSU in 2005. He then attended the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry, graduating in 2010. Dr. McShan dedicated an additional year to advanced training through a General Practice Residency at the VA in Memphis before working as an associate in the Memphis area.

In 2012, Dr. McShan returned to Crossville with a determination to make a difference in the community he cares so much about. After a year of working in a neighboring town, he built his first dental practice, Plateau Family Dentistry, from the ground up, opening its doors in October 2013.

Dr. McShan recognizes that dentistry is more than just procedures; it is about creating solutions that restore both function and joy for his patients. While he provides a full range of dental care, he truly enjoys helping patients through services like extractions, grafting, and dental implants. His dedication to advanced dental education includes training at the Engel Institute and certification from the prestigious Kois Center curriculum.

Beyond the office, Dr. McShan enjoys hunting, attending sporting events, and spending quality time with his family. His down-to-earth approach and genuine care for smiles make him a trusted partner in oral health for patients of all ages.

Meet your dentist

Dr. Dylan Qualls

Dr. Dylan Qualls’ personal journey into dentistry began during high school after experiencing a severe mouth injury on the basketball court. By overcoming this challenge, he developed not just a better smile but also a lasting inspiration to help others through dentistry. He graduated from Cumberland County High School in 2013, continued his education at Tennessee Tech University (2017), and earned his degree in dentistry at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 2021.

After completing his studies, Dr. Qualls returned to his roots in Crossville, purchasing an established local practice to begin making his mark in the community. Like his business partner, Dr. McShan, Dr. Qualls is passionate about restoring the function and confidence of his patients’ smiles, with a particular interest in extractions, grafting, and dental implants. To provide the highest level of care, he has completed advanced training at the Engel Institute and is currently continuing his education at the Kois Center

Dr. Qualls balances his professional life with hobbies like golf, spending family time, and enjoying days at the lake. His friendly approach and custom care solutions make each patient feel at ease and well cared for from their very first visit.
